Mount Eddy

Mt. Eddy is the highest peak in the Trinity Mountains. The trailhead starts at 6800ft and after 5 miles and over 2,000ft of elevation gain, the summit sits at 9025ft.
My Strava says we did a total of 9.53 miles and 3,322ft of elevation gain with a moving time of 4 hours and 54 minutes.

The trail was beautiful with multiple river crossings. The trails around the water were pretty muddy and full of mosquitos so be sure to pack bug spray with you!

The drift obstructing forest service road 42N17 was removed for direct access to Deadfall Meadows trailhead.

The summit views are amazing with a perfect sight of Mt. Shasta. After a summit beer and snack we headed back down to take a dip in Lower Deadfall Lake. It felt incredible but be warned, it was freezing cold!

Fun fact: Mt. Eddy was named after Harriet Catherine Eddy - The first woman to summit Mt. Shasta!
